In "Faithful Ferdinand," collected by the Brothers Grimm, a helpful horse changes into a prince after circling the castle three times.

Mythology Monday is a great way to start the week on Twitter.  Immersing myself in mythological stories and images feels like a tonic.  Here's what I added to today's mix.

Starting a new project! Experimenting!

The Skeleton Woman is an Inuit tale of a harrowing journey. The heroine is left for dead under the sea but is caught by a fisherman whose horror turns to compassion.  Some psychoanalysts interpret the tale for its healing messages.

This is a tale I want to visit with stop motion in the future.

A tough day

Today was a tough day.  Found some solace working with this doll.   Getting ready to film an adaptation of the fairy tale "The little match girl."

A common #fairytale theme is having a profound spiritual experience and then spending one's life trying to find it again. Here's my take on that theme
