Stylized theatre

I studied Asian theatre forms in my grad school. Loved these amazing and powerful styles!

Some viewers of my films have noted the influence -- seen in the stillness of postures and mask-like faces of the dolls.

Animals in fairy tales.

Our current film is the Grimm tale, The Two Travelers. In it many creatures help the hero (duck, stork, bee, horse) Here two crows offer guidance. Marie Louise Von Franz offers a wonderful analysis in "Shadow and Evil in Fairy Tales."

The Psychology of a #Fairytale

The archetypal journey of the hero begins in many different forms, always with a kind of secret, unconscious knowledge which the hero him/herself doesn’t know she possesses. David Hart, The Psychology of a #Fairytale Relief of Inanna/Ishtar

Lovely news! "Phone Gal" was just selected by The REEL Recovery Film Festival & Symposium!

This #film is based on the #fairytale, "The Little Match Girl." I didn't go with Anderson's happy ending. For me, it's a story of addiction. I look forward to sharing this film with this community. I'll have to send an unlisted link while it's in the festival circuit.
